    Lucas Hranicka

Lucas Hrankica, originally from Milwaukee, WI, began his life as a musician when he picked up the drums in fifth grade. Drumming along to the music of Poison, Boston, Whitesnake, and Guns n Roses eventually gave way to an interest in guitar. At seventeen, Lucas switched instruments and made the decision to play and write songs for a career.

He received a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus in guitar from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. Upon graduation, he joined his first full-time band, Baby Grand. From there, Lucas went on to form the bluesy, eighties style cover band, Rumblefish. This group lasted for three years and was where Lucas first cut his teeth as a lead singer.

From Rumblefish, he went on to start 8th Hour and continues to sing for this band, as well as the duo A Gentleman and A Scholar, Adios Patalones, and other freelance projects. Other noteworthy acts in which Lucas has appeared are The Woods (the Windbreak Saloon jam band), Briana Helbling and the Outsiders, Fourth Wave, The Dubious 3, and the Damn Dirty Ape’s.
